Nordic Style, established in 1991 in Chelsea, London, has long been a pioneer in bringing the ‘Nordic Light’ into traditionally dark London homes. Initially, Nordic Style gained prominence by offering a range of painted bedroom and dining room furniture collections, complemented by its own line of fabrics, paints and accessories. It is well renowned for that for nearly two decades, it stood as a leading brand, delivering products nationwide from its base in the historic Gas Works in Chelsea.

Mark Essex acquired the Nordic Style Brand in 2012 and as the market evolved and competitors began replicating its products, he adapted the business to specialise in producing furniture crafted from reclaimed timber. Under his leadership, and significant investment, the business expanded by opening six shops in London and launched ‘Nordic Style London’ a Mail Order, ecommerce business to compliment his bricks and mortar shops.

As demand for the Nordic Style Products grew again, Nordic Style Wholesale was born and started to supply premium furniture and accessories to retailers across the UK and Ireland.

Nordic Style London now has its own Retail Shop selling products directly to the public in Guildford in Surrey, located in the Tungstate Design Quarter and the shop sells our full range of furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, and full range of complementary home accessories.

We also have a large Showroom in Esher in Surrey, where we sell our UK Made Beds, Sofas and Chairs along with all the fabrics that we offer.  This Showroom also deals with all Interior Designers who use and specify our products for projects they are working on and we offer Generous Interior Design Discounts for new orders placed by genuine Designers.

Nordic Style Wholesale sells home accessories, cushions, soft furnishings and smaller furniture items that we make to Large Multiple Retailers and Garden Centres.  This B to B business sells in volume (cartons) to large retailers who wish to sell on our products to the end user.  The wholesale business does not sell individual items but sells in volume to a large overall Order Value.  This web site www.nordicstyle.com is a trade only web site for that ‘volume’ business and requires a Trade logon to access and view those items that we supply.

Proudly family-owned and operated, Nordic Style embodies the ethos of being “small enough to care, but large enough to cope”. It has a very good Retail Business that trades online and from our shop in Guildford.  Designers can bring their Clients to Esher to access our full ‘UK Made’ Ranges. The totally separate Wholesale Business supplies other large shops and Garden Centres in volume throughout the UK and Ireland.
